The Proverbs 31 Woman Clothed in Beauty and Strength

Wendie and Debra are back for this week’s episode after they ‘took a breath’ last week to attend the launch of the new E-Community Launch in DFW. Trudy, the regional director for the new DFW E-Community center, was on the podcast two weeks ago and shared her vision and plans for the center. In case you missed it, watch it here or read the recap blog here.

This week’s episode is all about the Proverbs 31 woman. What does it mean to be a woman clothed in beauty?

The world tells us that we need to look a certain way, dress a certain way, and wear our hair a certain way in order to be considered beautiful. However, to God, true beauty comes from the inside. To be clothed in beauty means to be beautiful inside.

In this episode,  Wendie and Debra discuss what it means to be a Proverbs 31 woman clothed in beauty. They talk about how true beauty does not come from our outward appearance, but from our inward character.

The Proverbs 31 woman is a great example of an inner beauty that radiates to the outside. She is clothed in strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.

So how can we as Christian women strive for this type of inner beauty?

Wendie and Debra share some helpful tips, such as

  • Read the scripture daily
  • Put on the armor of God.
  • Find your power suit

These are just a few of the ways that you can become a Proverbs 31 woman clothed in beauty, both inside and out.  So take the time to focus on your inner beauty today, and watch as it radiates to the outside for all the world to see.

When looking for your power suit, you need to ask yourself: “What is the thing that reminds you and fills you with that strength and confidence?”  It’s different for everyone. Maybe it is a physical article of clothing, maybe it is your favorite color, or maybe it is something that you wear on the inside, like your wedding ring. Whatever it is, find that thing and wear it with pride.

Inner beauty is something that should be strived for by all Christian women. We should be confident in who we are and not strive to meet the world’s standards of beauty. We need to be secure in our own skin and realize that our worth comes from Christ and not from our physical appearance.
