April 2026: Stories of Impact – What Your Giving Is Making Possible

giving
Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers
– Galatians 6:10

At this year’s Nehemiah Donor Appreciation event, we didn’t just talk about numbers. We listened to stories. Real people. Real journeys. Real evidence of what happens when faith, business, and community come together. These are the kinds of stories your generosity makes possible.

One of the most forward-looking conversations came from the work happening in Africa. For years, Nehemiah Entrepreneurship Community has been investing in entrepreneurs across the continent. Now, that work is entering a new season. The vision is shifting from programs to something deeper and more lasting. Locally led systems. Sustainable businesses. Long-term impact that does not depend on outside support.

What stood out was not just the strategy, but the heart behind it. There is a growing conviction among leaders in Africa that this work must outlive the current generation. That businesses are not just about profit, but about creating jobs, feeding families, and shaping communities.

Your support is helping make that possible. Not by creating dependency, but by empowering ownership.

Luke’s story represents a different kind of impact. As a recent graduate, he is in the early stages of building a business focused on preventing water damage in homes. It is still developing. Still being tested. But what has already taken root is something deeper than the business itself.

Through the Nehemiah Entrepreneurship Community training and coaching, Luke shared that his entire mindset has changed. He no longer sees the business as something he owns. He sees it as something entrusted to him.

That shift is shaping how he makes decisions, how he thinks about growth, and how he treats people. Even now, before the business fully launches, the foundation is different. And that foundation will affect every person that the business touches in the future.

Caleb’s story began with something simple. At three years old, he wanted to become a racecar driver. For most families, that kind of dream would stay just that. A dream. But over time, it became something more. Not just a pursuit of racing, but a calling to use that platform to reach young people.

Through coaching and community, that vision has grown into a nonprofit foundation. One that is now being built to inspire youth, challenge them to pursue their God-given calling, and equip them with discipline, focus, and faith.

In just a short time, doors have already begun to open. New connections. Opportunities to speak. Resources to grow the vision.

It is a reminder that when someone is supported and guided well, even a childhood dream can become a ministry.

Pastor Manny’s story may be one of the clearest pictures of what the Nehemiah Entrepreneurship Community is about. Years ago, he had a burden to serve his community. There was passion, vision, and a desire to make a difference. But like many ministries, sustainability was a challenge.

Through Nehemiah’s coaching and framework, something began to shift. Today, his church, LUX Church, is moving toward being fully sustained through entrepreneurship. That means the work of ministry is no longer limited by traditional funding alone. It is being fueled by businesses that are creating value in the community.

And the impact goes beyond finances. They are opening homes for foster youth aging out of the system. They are partnering with their city to serve vulnerable populations. They are equipping people not just spiritually, but economically. What once felt difficult to sustain is now positioned to multiply.

Each story is different. Different people. Different stages. Different parts of the world. But there is a thread that runs through all of them. People are learning to see business as a calling. They are stepping into responsibility with a sense of stewardship. They are building with the future in mind, not just the present. And none of it happens in isolation. It happens because someone believed in them. Someone invested in them. Someone like you.

As we move into 2026, the focus is clear. We are trusting God to grow a global community of over 6,000 active entrepreneurs. We will continue hosting key gatherings that bring leaders together for training, connection, and encouragement.

There is a renewed emphasis on developing leaders, especially the next generation, and expanding into new regions with stronger local leadership. We are also investing in better systems and tools to serve this growing community more effectively.

But at the core, the strategy is not about growth for its own sake. It is about seeing more stories like these.

More entrepreneurs equipped.
More communities impacted.
More lives transformed through the gospel in the marketplace.

These stories are just the beginning. And we are grateful that you are part of them.
