Building a Successful Business Together
On February 21st, 2024, the Nehemiah Entrepreneurship Community held the first E-Community Global Forum of the year. Our Global Forum is designed as a quarterly educational and networking online event featuring Kingdom-class business education and opportunities for connection with other Biblical Entrepreneurs around the world. We have made it possible for all our paying E-Community Members (Silver Membership and above) to join the event for FREE. For Bronze and non-members, there is a small fee of $25.
The latest iteration of the Global Forum tackled Couples in Business as its primary topic. It is unfortunate that being in business can pose a threat and present a great risk to a marriage. According to Inc Magazine, launching a business can shatter the foundation of a marriage due to increased financial pressures, and the business can often feel like the ‘other lover’ that draws the attention of the spouse away from their marriage.
However, it is not at all impossible to build a lasting marriage while growing a successful Kingdom business. During the Global Forum, we learned that whatever season your marriage is in, God has a purpose and reason (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8), and it is up to us to accept the will of God for us in the season He has placed us in. Depending on the stage of business or the season of marriage that you are in, there will be plenty of challenges and obstacles that you will have to face together with your spouse.
These challenges can be overcome as long as you and your partner intentionally put faith as the foundation and top priority in your marriage. This means that as a couple, both of you live in Christ, and your marriage is conformed to the image and likeness of Christ through the Word of God. It is also crucial that you and your spouse are certain and convicted about the purpose and calling that God has for both of you as a couple. With these key elements in place, everything else will follow.
EC GLOBAL FORUM: COUPLES IN BUSINESS
It goes without saying that the recent Global Forum would not have been a success without your love and support. Altogether, we had 66 registered participants, representing 7 different nations:
- United States
- Kenya
- Cameroon
- South Africa
- Malaysia
- India
- Congo
