For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. – Ephesians 6:12
It seems a bit strange that entrepreneurs, of all people, seem to be the last to realize the battle that they are in every single day. It may be that we, as business owners and leaders, are so oriented to the physical realities of every day business that our minds are not adequately attuned to the spiritual battle that is going on around us.
Here is the danger, while our eyes, attention, and focus are on the practical aspects of business: deadlines, staff problems, and priorities; Satan may be eating our lunch. Let me let you in on a secret: Satan really, really hates you and does not want you to succeed. He is your implacable enemy. He can not be reasoned with, you can not make peace with him, and he can not be negotiated with. All you can do is fight to win or be defeated. The good news is that there are weapons that can bring you victory in the war.
How then do we “wrestle” (see Eph. 6:12 above) successfully? That is what this blog will explore over the next few months. We need to know how to discern what Satan and his minions are up to. We have to know how to use the weapons that God has given us to fight, and most importantly, we need to know how to pray—and we need to DO IT.
Let’s go on an adventure together in learning how to win the Spiritual Battle in the Marketplace. Subscribe to this blog, join us in prayer, and join us at Nehemiah Week (click on the picture below for details and to register).
