Merry Christmas from the Nehemiah Entrepreneurship Community: A Powerful Q4 Staff Retreat to Close 2025
Merry Christmas! 🎄
On this Christmas Eve, as we celebrate the birth of Christ and reflect on God’s faithfulness throughout the year, we are excited to share highlights from a truly impactful moment in our community—the Nehemiah Entrepreneurship Community Q4 Staff Retreat, held December 15–18, 2025.
This retreat was more than meetings and planning sessions. It was a strategic and spiritual reset—a time for our global team to come together in worship, prayer, reflection, and alignment as we prepared to steward God’s mission with excellence in the year ahead.
As a special Christmas bonus, we are also sharing Pastor Steve Harris’ powerful devotional series from the retreat, which became the spiritual foundation for everything we discussed and planned:
Four Days of Focus, Faith, and Forward Momentum
Each morning began with worship and prayer, creating space for God to lead every conversation. Team members connected across departments, participated in breakout discussions, and engaged in honest dialogue about both the victories and challenges of 2025.
The retreat provided intentional time to:
- Reflect on what worked well in 2025 and what needed to change
- Strengthen collaboration across teams
- Clarify priorities and strategic objectives
- Align innovation, operations, and technology with our biblical values
From the very first day, it was clear that God was not only reviewing our past—but preparing us for greater responsibility and impact.
A Retreat Anchored in Genesis 1:28
The defining thread of the retreat was Pastor Steve’s four-part devotional series on Genesis 1:28, woven intentionally throughout all four days. These devotionals did not stand alone; they shaped the tone, language, and direction of every breakout session, discussion, and strategic plan.
Day 1 – Be Fruitful: Evaluating Our Impact

The retreat opened with a call to fruitfulness. Teams reflected deeply on the outcomes of their work—not just activity, but lasting impact. Through breakout discussions and year-in-review sessions, staff assessed what truly bore fruit in 2025 and how to increase effectiveness moving forward.
Day 2 – Multiply: Building for Sustainable Growth

Day two focused on multiplication—developing people, systems, and leaders that can reproduce results. Strategic conversations addressed training, coaching, certification pathways, and scalable structures that will allow Nehemiah’s mission to grow without losing quality or values.
Day 3 – Subdue: Excellence, Innovation, and AI Integration

On day three, the retreat turned toward innovation and operational excellence. Teams explored how to bring order to complexity through improved processes and responsible technology use. Sessions on AI integration invited departments to envision practical ways to automate, prioritize, and enhance workflows while remaining mission-centered.
Day 4 – Have Dominion: Leadership, Ethics, and Stewardship

The final day brought everything together with a focus on dominion—leading with wisdom, accountability, and ethical responsibility. Conversations addressed AI governance, codes of ethics, budgeting for 2026, and incorporating innovation into Nehemiah’s long-term strategic plan.
By the end of the retreat, the team emerged with clarity, unity, and renewed confidence in God’s calling.
Strengthened Unity, Clear Direction
Throughout the retreat, staff engaged in:
- Mission and vision reflection
- SWOT analyses and strategic reviews
- Cross-department collaboration
- Prayerful decision-making for 2026 priorities
These sessions strengthened alignment across the organization and reinforced a shared commitment to operational excellence grounded in biblical principles.
A Christmas Gift from Our Team to You
Because these devotionals were so central to the retreat—and so timely for the season—we are sharing them as a Christmas Eve blessing. We believe the message of fruitfulness, multiplication, subduing, and dominion is not only for our staff, but for every entrepreneur, leader, and community member walking into a new year.
As we celebrate Christmas, we thank God for His faithfulness in 2025 and for the incredible people who make up the Nehemiah Entrepreneurship Community. We look forward with great expectation to all He will do in the year ahead.
