“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” – 2 Chronicles 7:14 (NKJV)
Do you want to gain more information on the George Floy Incident? Are you curious to see how Nehemiah Project is responding to what is currently going on in our world?
On May 25, 2020, an African-American man named George Floyd died in Powderhorn, a neighborhood south of downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota. While Floyd was handcuffed and lying face down on a city street during an arrest, Derek Chauvin, a white Minneapolis police officer, kept his knee on the right side of Floyd’s neck for 8 minutes and 46 seconds.
This has led us to Nehemiah Project to speak up about the social injustices going on in today’s society.
Our goal moving forward is to
- Provide direction to the entrepreneurs that we serve.
- Provide biblically sustainable solutions to urban communities that can help prevent these situations in the future.
- Provide hope and support to entrepreneurs in urban communities.
