We were fortunate to hear from Pastor Marc Estes, former Senior Pastor of Mannahouse, a multi-site church based in Oregon and Washington, and co-founder of VisitorReach, an innovative app designed to help churches connect with newcomers and spiritual seekers in their local communities.

In his sharing, Pastor Marc started off by highlighting the importance of getting your church into your city before getting the city into your church.

of the sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, their chiefs were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their command; — 1 Chronicles 12:32 (NKJV)

He went on to highlight the importance of having an “understanding of the times” (1 Chronicles 12:32) by answering two crucial questions:

  1. What’s changed post-COVID in how churches engage and reach new people?
  2. What are the most impactful changes a church can make in its strategy to
    reach new people?

The panel discussion during our Global Forum welcomed a star-studded line of panelists who are made up of members of our Sustainable Church Initiative, an initiative designed to help churches and ministries learn innovative and creative ways to disciple their congregations, including entrepreneurs and marketplace leaders while enhancing the church’s ability to sustainably achieve its mission.

The discussion was moderated by our very own Chief Servant Officer, Patrice Tsague and the panelists include Pastor Soorin Backer, Bishop Allen Wiggins, Pastor Victor Pena, and Pastor Marc Estes. Together, they masterfully answered the questions and concerns presented by the moderator and attendees.
