Kingdom Business Best Practices

Kingdom Business Best Practices

Operating a Kingdom business with excellence requires an understanding and the implementation of Kingdom business best practices.

According to Merriam-Webster’s dictionary, a “best practice” is a procedure that has been shown by research and experience to produce optimal results and that is established or proposed as a standard suitable for widespread adoption.

It is the way things were meant to operate based on God’s creative order. It is a proven and tested approach to carrying out an objective that consistently achieves optimal results.

For since the creation of the world, His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse. – Romans 1:20 (NKJV)

Nature is the best revealer of best practices. Nature reveals the fact that God exists and God’s original purpose for things. This is why scripture tells us that we are without excuse in knowing God since His invisible attributes are revealed in nature (Romans 1:20).

Kingdom business best practice is a proven and tested approach based on the Scriptures to carry out business objectives that consistently achieve optimal or God’s intended results.  Since 1997 thousands of entrepreneurs have succesfully incorporated Kingdom business best practices through our Biblical Entrepreneurship course and Kingdom business coaching program.

Every business has four areas of focus;

  • Administrative: The development of the people and culture
  • Marketing: The acquisition and maintenance of customers
  • Operations: The servicing of clients
  • Finance: The management of income and expenses to ensure business profitability.

How would you define Kingdom business best practices?

Whether the business is a Kingdom company or not, it has these four areas. The difference, however, between a traditional business and a Kingdom business is the fact that these four business functions must be done while keeping God’s purpose for business in mind. According to Dr. Jeff Van Duzer, retired Provos of Seattle Pacific, in his bestselling book, “Why Business Matters to God”, a business has two purposes:

  • To create meaningful and creative work
  • To provide services and products for common flourishing

As you consider Kingdom Business Best Practices, you must keep in mind the functions that every business should have and the purpose of business, which is the what and why of the business.

The function of business that every business should have is the how. The how should be executed to achieve the what and why without violating biblical principles while considering all stakeholders, from the customer, the investor, the vendors, the employees, the community, etc. This leads to sustainable success.
