Highlights from the Best Practice Business Tour & Conference – Insights, Impact, and Inspiration
The 2025 Nehemiah Best Practice Business Tour & Conference was this past week from May 6th to 9th, and brought together visionary leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators for a powerful gathering focused on Kingdom-driven business principles. Held in Orlando, Florida, the multi-day event offered attendees valuable insights and connections through networking, business tours, and impactful conference sessions.
CONNECT MEETING
The conference kicked off with a Connect Meeting on Tuesday evening, May 6th, at the A&P Int’l / Nehemiah E-Community Orlando Center, hosted by Ana Maria Lowry, Tony Lowry, and their son, Samuel Lowry. Guests enjoyed a Venezuelan dinner prepared by Chef Michael Perez, a client of the Nehemiah Orlando Center, who recently secured a contract to supply his signature black beans to BRAVO Bistro restaurants. The evening fostered meaningful connections ahead of the conference sessions.

BEST PRACTICE BUSINESS TOUR
Liberty Counsel
The second day, Wednesday, May 7th, started with attendees visiting Liberty Counsel, where founder Mathew Staver shared insights on integrating a Christian worldview in public policy and civic engagement. The tour included a visit to their professional broadcasting green room, where Liberty Counsel provides live updates to major networks like CNN and Fox News, ensuring a Christian perspective is represented on cultural and legal issues. The stop also featured a panel discussion with Krystal Parker, Rene Villar, Brian Buhler, and Frank Kitonga.
Timothy Plan
At Timothy Plan’s headquarters, attendees learned about the organization’s pioneering approach to Biblically Responsible Investing (BRI). Cheryl Mumbert, the new CEO and Vice President, discussed their history and mission to promote “Kingdom Impact Investing” by screening out morally objectionable industries and supporting businesses that align with Christian values. As well, the Timothy Plan has been a strong partner to the Nehemiah Entrepreneurship Community, and we are proud of their meaningful work in this industry.
Palm Beach Atlantic University
Palm Beach Atlantic University (PBA) is a private, nondenominational Christian university in West Palm Beach, Florida, founded in 1968. It offers over 100 undergraduate and graduate programs across nine academic schools, including business, health sciences, ministry, and the arts. Known for its strong Christian values, PBA emphasizes spiritual growth through chapel services and its “Workship” community service program, which has contributed over 4 million service hours. The university uses a smaller cohort model with biblically integrated programs, with flagship offerings in nursing and counseling. It operates two campuses, including the Orlando campus we toured, where they’ve been located for five years. Our visit was hosted by Martha Christilieb.
Grace Medical Home
Participants also toured Grace Medical Home, a nonprofit clinic dedicated to serving uninsured and underserved residents in Orlando. The clinic, founded in 2010, provides holistic care through a sliding-scale model and relies heavily on donations and volunteer support to serve its patients, typically between $5 and $40, fostering dignity and ownership in their care. Grace Medical Home is also ready to share God’s truth with patients who are willing to discuss their spiritual health with Rev. Omar Cardona and others on staff there. In 2022 alone, the clinic provided approximately $10.3 million in medical services. It was shared that approximately. $5 million worth of medications were given out last year. This valuable care is incredible, and much of which is made possible through donations and volunteer support.

Sponsors like Smart Optimal Solutions (SOS) and Go to Market LLC energized the event with practical insights, making the event a powerful celebration of entrepreneurship, innovation, and lasting impact.
GLOBAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP IMPACT BRUNCH
On Friday, May 9th, the Nehemiah Best Practice Tour & Conference ended with a powerful Global Entrepreneurship Impact Brunch at the Interlachen Country Club.
