Back to School with Biblical Entrepreneurship
As the school year begins across the country, many students are filled with excitement and anticipation for the opportunity to learn and prepare to become productive citizens. For 24 students across three schools in the Portland, Oregon, and Vancouver, Washington area, this year brings the excitement of continuing or starting their journey in learning how to build Kingdom businesses through the Nehemiah Biblical Entrepreneurship Program, thanks to your generous financial support and prayers. We also celebrate that Young Biblical Entrepreneurship students can now receive dual credit from George Fox University.
Cornerstone Christian Academy for Learning and Leadership
At Cornerstone, God’s Word is the foundation of everything they do. They teach students to live with an eternal perspective while fostering a daily, personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Their academic program is grounded in the unwavering truths of God’s Word. The vision at Cornerstone is for every high school student to be introduced to Biblical Entrepreneurship, so they may understand why business matters to God and how they can honor Him in the marketplace. They can now also receive dual college credit from George Fox University for completing the Biblical Entrepreneurship course.
George Fox University
As Oregon’s premier Christian university, George Fox is committed to providing students with personal attention, global opportunities, and a supportive community. Ranked as one of the top Christian schools in the nation, their vision is to offer students in the School of Business the opportunity to learn how faith intersects with business through Biblical Entrepreneurship and how they can honor God in their professional lives. They also provide dual college credit to high school students who complete the Young Biblical Entrepreneurship Program.
Portland Bible College
Portland Bible College, a four-year Bible college and ministry of Mannahouse Church, focuses on developing leaders who thrive on biblical values and live in God’s presence. Founded in 1967, their goal is to equip theology students with an understanding of why business matters to God and how it can be integrated with their ministry calling.
Our Ultimate Goal
Since the early 2000s, Nehemiah has offered Biblical Entrepreneurship courses as Summer Camps through youth ministry, and as school curriculum in high schools and universities, giving young people the opportunity to integrate their faith into their entrepreneurial pursuits while still in school.
This initiative was inspired by feedback from adults who took the course, often remarking, “I wish I had taken this class much earlier.” Not only is it now available in select schools, but it will soon be accessible online from anywhere in the world and in a new school launching in Malawi by Good Soil Partners, founded by Steven and Cindy Chartier.
Our ultimate goal is to see every Christian school that desires to do so, incorporate Biblical Entrepreneurship into their curriculum. We are currently in discussions with several schools preparing to adopt the program, and all of this would not be possible without your financial support and prayers.
Thank you once again for your generosity and prayers. We look forward to sharing more updates as we continue this journey together.
