The Success Plan
In the new free course released by the Nehemiah Entrepreneurship Community, the Nehemiah Business Life Cycle Course, and my upcoming book that accompanies the course, “Nehemiah Business Life Cycle: The Entrepreneurship Success Guide from Discovery to Exit”, I introduce 4 success factors to help entrepreneurs increase their business success rate by at least 50%.

It is unfortunate that even though planning is one of the success factors, it is becoming more and more underestimated, especially given the rise of concepts like lean start-ups. My warning to entrepreneurs is this: reject planning at your own peril. According to a Harvard Business Review article, entrepreneurs who write formal plans are 16% more likely to achieve viability than identical non-planning entrepreneurs.
There are several types of plans: strategic plan, operational plan, summary business plan, business proposal, and action plan. Each type of plan is critical to your success at various business stages and is necessary in different circumstances. We’ve helped many entrepreneurs through our Biblical Entrepreneurship Program and Kingdom Business Coaching to develop plans that they’ve used to successfully grow their businesses and raise capital.
NEHEMIAH BUSINESS LIFE CYCLE SUCCESS PLAN
In the Nehemiah Business Life Cycle Course, we introduce the Nehemiah Business Life Cycle Success Plan. It is a new planning tool that will be used by the Nehemiah Kingdom Business Coaches to guide clients through various stages of growth and development from discovery through exit. This plan includes a dashboard for monitoring progress at each stage and is ideally utilized alongside a Nehemiah Kingdom Business Coach for clear and directed guidance.
Included in the Nehemiah Business Life Cycle Success Plan is an action plan that guides entrepreneurs through the actions necessary to achieve a specific objective, in this case, moving from one business stage to the next.
Here are the components of the Nehemiah Business Life Cycle Success Plan:
- Dashboard
- A tool to provide a summarized percentage rating of each stage
- Assessment
- An annual evaluation to determine the current business stage
- Success Plan
- Stage-specific checklists and tasks, including resources and coaching session links uniquely designed for each stage
