- They must own their faith
Hold fast the pattern of sound words which you have heard from me, in faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. – 2 Timothy 1:13 - They must know their identity
Then the king interviewed them, and among them all none was found like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah; therefore they served before the king. – Daniel 1:19 - They must be about their fathers business

So the king gave the command, and they brought Daniel and cast him into the den of lions. But the king spoke, saying to Daniel, “Your God, whom you serve continually, He will deliver you.” – Daniel 6:16 - They must have hard skills
But David said to Saul, “Your servant used to keep his father’s sheep, and when a lion or a bear came and took a lamb out of the flock, I went out after it and struck it, and delivered the lamb from its mouth; and when it arose against me, I caught it by its beard, and struck and killed it.” – 1 Samuel 17:34-35 - They must be risk takers
Then David said to Saul, “Let no man’s heart fail because of him; your servant will go and fight with this Philistine.” – 1 Samuel 17:32 - You must model what you want them to become
But you have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, perseverance, persecutions, afflictions, which happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra—what persecutions I endured. And out of them all the Lord delivered me. – 2 Timothy 3:10-11
