NEHEMIAH WEEKLY DEVOTIONAL<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is your hidden relationship with Christ strong enough to sustain your visible, outward ministry?\u00a0
Are you willing to embrace the \u201ccrushing process\u201d that is required to form Christlike character?
Do you desire to be a purified vessel, set apart for the Lord\u2019s anointing?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Psalm 17<\/a>:15 (AMP)<\/strong>
As for me, I shall see Your face in righteousness;<\/em>
I will be [fully] satisfied when I awake<\/em>
[to find myself] seeing Your likeness.<\/em><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The Hidden Life of a Leader<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

What an extraordinary verse of Scripture this is.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

David declared, \u201cI will see\u201d <\/em>\u2013 not \u201cI will seek\u201d,<\/em> but \u201cI will see\u201d<\/em> \u2013 the face of God in righteousness.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is great challenge and also great encouragement in this verse. No matter where we are in our walk with God, and no matter how long or short a time we have walked with Him, there will always be a place of deeper encounter that He has prepared for us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the deep desires of the Father\u2019s heart is to raise up end-time leaders and disciples of His Son Jesus, who are passionate to know Him and to live according to every beat of His heart.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His end-time leaders must be passionate to access the Throne Room of Heaven, and to take the treasures received there into the darkest corners of the world \u2013 demonstrating His love through the resulting spiritual breakthroughs and abundance of supernatural and eternal fruit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The end-time leaders will eagerly develop their \u201cupward and inward call\u201d \u2013 the relational part of our calling that is not visible or obvious to anyone except the LORD \u2013 through an understanding of, and a desire to, develop a lifestyle where the disciplines that are involved to form Christlike character are the central focus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is vital for the success of our \u201coutward call\u201d \u2013 the part of our call that is visible to others \u2013 which will fail without consistent, upwards devotion, and inward surrender. When those areas of our walk are strong and consistent, then the outward call will reflect the supernatural nature of the Almighty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One\u00a0thing\u00a0I have desired of the\u00a0Lord,
That will I seek:
That I may\u00a0dwell in the house of the\u00a0Lord
All the days of my life,
To behold the\u00a0beauty of the\u00a0Lord,
And to inquire in His temple.
<\/em>\u2013 Psalm 27:4 (NKJV)<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Having received their Divine calling, every leader will then undergo a refining process before being chosen by God.
It is noteworthy that Jesus said that not all who were called would end up being chosen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c\u2026 many are called (invited and summoned), but few are chosen\u201d.
\u2013 <\/em>Matthew 22:14 (AMPC)\u00a0<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

This \u201cchoosing process\u201d typically lasts for many years, and through it, a person\u2019s true, inner character is revealed. Many drop out during these carefully designed \u201cchoosing processes\u201d (which could also be called \u201cthe crushing processes\u201d) of the LORD, often blaming the devil for what was in fact the Divine processing of God working to form Godly character in them, so that they could withstand the often crucible-like pressures that accompany Christian leadership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is interesting and helpful to compare the way that olive oil was traditionally extracted from the olive tree, as there are many similarities between this process and the way that god \u201cprocesses\u201d those whom He has chosen to lead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
