Do you consider yourself wise?
How do you define wisdom?
Are you a worshiper of Christ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, saying, \u201cWhere is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have come to worship Him.\u201d<\/em> \u2013 Matthew 2<\/a>:1-2 (NKJV)<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Wise men Worship Him<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Psalm 14:1a<\/strong> states, \u201cThe fool has said in his heart, \u2018There is no God.'\u201d<\/em> I was once that fool. I mocked Christians and considered them weak, na\u00efve, and hypocritical. I openly confessed the lack of the existence of a God, even leading a debate in high school where I made the case that there was no God.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was foolish and unwise. I viewed wisdom as one\u2019s ability to cultivate one\u2019s intellect and be in control of one\u2019s destiny.<\/strong> But \u2013 the Bible declares in Psalm 111:10<\/strong>, \u201cThe fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;\u00a0 a good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever.\u201d<\/em>

One cannot truly be wise unless he acknowledges the existence of God and fully submits himself
to the Lord. The beginning of true wisdom is the fear of the Lord with understanding.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is the recognition of one\u2019s limitations, coupled with the understanding of how to apply the knowledge that we have with common sense. Knowledge alone is not wisdom, but knowledge with the fear of the Lord and understanding is.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the time of Jesus\u2019 birth, many were considered wise, because they were knowledgeable: leaders
of businesses<\/a>, leaders of nations, and religious leaders. But very few of these men noticed the birth
of the King of Kings, or sought after Him to worship Him \u2013 except for three wise men from the East.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

King Herod knew of Jesus\u2019 birth but, being foolish, tried to use that knowledge to advance his own agenda. The three wise men from the East were not even Jews \u2013 they were not supposed to be in tune with Old Testament prophecies. However, they not only knew about the prophecies, but they also recognized and followed the signs that led them to the birthplace of Jesus.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What made these men wise, and how can we follow their example today?\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They modeled seven key characteristics:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. They recognized their human limitations<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. They feared God<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. They studied the Scriptures<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. They discerned the times and seasons<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. They obeyed the leading of the Holy Spirit<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. They stepped out in faith and obedience into the unknown<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. They worshiped the Savior<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Among all these seven characteristics, the greatest one that Biblical Entrepreneurs<\/a> must possess is the ability and humility to worship the Savior<\/strong>. It requires us to recognize that He is Lord of All, the Creator of the Universe, the Captain of Our Soul, the Prince of Peace, and the Master of Our Destiny.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    We must worship Him and put Him above all things. We must openly confess His name. We must shout of His goodness and adhere to His commandments in all aspects of our lives. We must worship Him by submitting everything in our lives and businesses wholeheartedly to Him.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    This Christmas season, as we celebrate Jesus\u2019 birth, it is also a great time to worship Him. Of course, we should do this in all seasons, but Christmas is a special time when we must be especially intentional. How wise are you? How are you worshiping the Savior during this Christmas season?\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
