Are you living comfortably, enjoying the fruits of your labor? Is your business running smoothly and generating profit? What should your attitude be during this profitability stage?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThus says the Lord, your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel: \u2018I am the Lord your God, Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you by the way you should go.\u2019\u201d<\/em> \u2013\u00a0 Isaiah 48:17 (NKJV)<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Profitability \u2013 Nehemiah Business Life Cycle<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

You made it! After experiencing the ups and downs of the startup stage, after all the long hours and late nights, after overcoming roadblocks, after pushing through the discouragement, after pressing forward with endurance \u2013 you finally arrived at the profitability stage! The profitability stage<\/a> is the season when the business is creating margins with consistency while generating a quadruple (people, planet, profit, eternal impact) bottom line.<\/strong> You are constantly making more than you spend, and you are doing it in a way that honors the Lord. Congratulations, it\u2019s time to celebrate!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBeware that you do not forget the Lord your God by not keeping His commandments, His judgments, and His statutes which I command you today, lest\u2014when you have eaten and are full, and have built beautiful houses and dwell in them; and when your herds and your flocks multiply, and your silver and your gold are multiplied, and all that you have is multiplied; when your heart is lifted up, and you forget the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt\u2026who led you through that great and terrible wilderness\u2026 that He might humble you and that He might test you, to do you good in the end\u2014 then you say in your heart, \u2018My power and the might of my hand have gained me this wealth.\u2019 \u2018And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth<\/em>\u2026\u2019\u201d <\/em><\/strong>\u2013 Deuteronomy 8:11-18 (NKJV)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s important to remember in this season what the purpose of wealth really is and to remember the One who enabled you to get to this stage.<\/strong> In this stage, your challenges may come in the form of pride, misplaced trust, and selfishness. The moment you shift your focus from the Giver of wealth to wealth itself, you have ventured into dangerous territory: \u201cBeware that you do not forget the Lord your God\u2026\u201d <\/em>(Deuteronomy 8:11)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Take the time to thank God and to be grateful for His provision and gifts that He has given you to enjoy. Prayerfully look for ways to do good, turning your wealth into \u201cgood works\u201d<\/em>. Have a heart and a company culture of generosity, and use your resources to store up eternal treasure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
