Behold, the Lion <br>of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll <br> and to loose its seven seals.\u201d <\/em><strong>\u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Revelation%205%3A5&version=NKJV\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Revelation 5:5 (NKJV)<\/a><\/strong><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center has-luminous-vivid-amber-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-04c61199ddc27d82e08cdd49de29446a\">THE LION OF JUDAH<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Lion, also known as the king of the jungle, is a majestic predator who usually lives in pride and demonstrates majestic and royal qualities.\u00a0 Some of the characteristics of the lion include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Strong<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Team Orientated\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Focused<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Purposeful\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Resourceful and Wise<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Competitive\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Protective<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Jesus is referred to in Revelation as the Lion of Judah. This reference is not a coincidence, it speaks to the fact that our Savior has Lion-like characteristics.\u00a0 He is not only a sacrificial Lamb but He also embodies all of the positive attributes of the Lion.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>He is strong <\/strong>\u2013 While He walked on the earth as God made flesh <strong>(John 1:14)<\/strong>, there is no other person or being stronger than He was, and nor will there ever be.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"2\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>He is team-oriented<\/strong> \u2013 He could have come to earth and single-handedly carried out His mission, but he chose to build a team of disciples to help Him <strong>(Mark 3:13)<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"3\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>He is Focused <\/strong>\u2013 Although He worked with his disciples to carry out His mission, He often took time alone with the Father <strong>(Luke 6:12) <\/strong>and chose to go to the cross even when all His disciples abandoned Him <strong>(Luke 22:42)<\/strong>.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>He is Purposeful <\/strong>\u2013 Nothing He does is outside of His purpose to seek and save the Lost <strong>(Luke 19:10)<\/strong>. He does not act out of pride or greed but does everything in line with the calling that His Father gave Him.\u00a0<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>He is Resourceful and Wise <\/strong>\u2013 As we read the Gospels, we are amazed at the way He responded to the questions He was asked by those who wanted to trap Him, and how He dealt with the Roman authorities <strong>(Matthew 22:41-46; Matthew 27:11-14)<\/strong>. There is no one wiser or more resourceful than Him.<br>\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>He is Competitive<\/strong> \u2013 He makes it clear that no one can serve two masters<strong> (Luke 16:13)<\/strong>. He expects loyalty from His subjects, and will not yield His reign to anyone else <strong>(Mark 8:34; Mark 10:31)<\/strong>.<br>\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>He is Protective<\/strong> \u2013 He laid down His life for humanity so that all who trust in Him may receive the gift of eternal life that was purchased with His blood <strong>(1 Peter 1:18-19)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes, He is a Lion but more than that He is the Lion of Judah. Judah was the fourth son of Leah, born after Reuben, Simeon, and Levi <strong>(Genesis 29:35)<\/strong>. King David, King Solomon, and the King of Kings \u2013 Jesus Christ\u00a0 \u2013 were all descended from this tribe.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The territory of Judah included Jerusalem. Jacob blessed Judah by proclaiming that Judah would <em>\u201crule over his brothers\u201d<\/em>; be <em>\u201clike a lion\u2019s cub\u201d<\/em>; and that <em>\u201cthe scepter will not depart from Judah\u201d<\/em> <strong>(Genesis 49:8-10)<\/strong>. You could call Judah the kingly tribe \u2013 they knew how to walk as rulers, and they produced kings.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>King David was the righteous king \u2013 a type of Christ \u2013 ordained by God to establish the lineage through which Christ would be born. The Lion of Judah is the righteous eternal ruler that represents God\u2019s sovereign rule on earth and in eternity. As long as He reigns we have hope. He is our liberator, our hope, and our savior.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just as Jesus is the Lion of Judah, we are called as His disciples to emulate Him and walk in His ways.\u00a0 We were created in His image and likeness. Just as He exemplifies the characteristics of a lion, we can as well.\u00a0 Whatever your circumstances, whatever you are going through, embrace your call as a disciple of Jesus Christ and reflect His will and ways in the marketplace. Just as He is called to rule through eternity, you are called to walk in dominion in your industry and <a href=\"https:\/\/nehemiahecommunity.com\/\">business<\/a> sector.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>My prayer for you today is that God will lead you in His ways so that you may reflect the characteristics of the Lion of Judah and become a cutting-edge leader in Are we willing to let go of the past and give each other the benefit of the doubt?<\\\/p>\\n<p><!-- \\\/wp:paragraph --><\\\/p>\\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\\\/p>\\n<p>Forgiveness is the gift that we all love to receive but many of us struggle to give. Unfortunately, without it we can not become truly great nor can we realize our destiny. Forgiveness is what holds great people from becoming truly free. Joseph rose to greatness after his betrayal and struggle but there was one more thing he had to realize: his destiny.<\\\/p>\\n<p><!-- \\\/wp:paragraph --><\\\/p>\\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\\\/p>\\n<p>He had to forgive those who threw him in the pit and sold him into slavery, which then eventually led him to go to prison. Often as we rise to greatness our past revisits us and we are forced to reconcile with it. Some run from it and never become what God destined them to be. Others confront and embrace it and are able to experience the freedom that God has preordained for them to receive. You will never achieve true freedom unless you are able to forgive those who caused you harm. True freedom is letting go of the past, true freedom is saying I forgive you, true freedom is recognizing that what the devil meant for evil God used it for good.<\\\/p>\\n<p><!-- \\\/wp:paragraph --><\\\/p>\\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\\\/p>\\n<p>\\u201cFor I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.\\u201d -\\u00a0<strong>Jeremiah 29:11<\\\/strong><\\\/p>\\n<p><!-- \\\/wp:paragraph --><\\\/p>\\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\\\/p>\\n<p>Greatness is a result of persevering through life\\u2019s difficulties, intense trials, and challenges. Just as precious jewels are produced through years of intense fire and pressure and eventually command great value and admiration by men, we too have the same outcome when we allow the betrayal and trials of life to shape us into who God wants us to become.<\\\/p>\\n<p><!-- \\\/wp:paragraph --><\\\/p>\\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\\\/p>\\n<p>\\u201cAnd Joseph said to his brothers, \\u201cPlease come near to me.\\u201d So they came near. Then he said: \\u201cI am Joseph your brother, whom you sold into Egypt. But now, do not therefore be grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here; for God sent me before you to preserve life.\\u201d <strong>- Genesis 45:4-5<\\\/strong><\\\/p>\\n<p><!-- \\\/wp:paragraph --><\\\/p>\\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\\\/p>\\n<p>Forgiveness is recognizing the sovereignty of God in every situation. When you forgive, you release the pain you have had a tight grip on and free your emotions from being focused on the wrongs that were done to you. You can now embrace the people that the enemy used to bring you harm with the unconditional love of Christ. It is said that unforgiveness is like taking a poison pill and hoping it kills the other person, it only brings you harm.<\\\/p>\\n<p><!-- \\\/wp:paragraph --><\\\/p>\\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\\\/p>\\n<p><strong><strong><strong>How do you forgive?
