\u201cPut on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.\u201d \u2013 Ephesians 6:11 (NKJV)<\/strong><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Are you equipped for the daily spiritual battle that you are facing? Are you winning or losing them? Do you have the tools to overcome spiritual warfare?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are at war against an unseen enemy that is ever-present in our lives and who is determined to destroy us and hinder God\u2019s plan for our lives. This war is not against a person, but against a spirit, though it manifests through people and systems. You did not start this war. It is not about you, though, you are a victim of it. This war has been going on from the time Adam and Eve committed high treason in the garden. Their action enabled an enemy to invade the earth realm and control the hearts and minds of people so they do and say things to advance the enemy\u2019s agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This war is being waged in the marketplace, in the halls of government, in religious circles, and in families. Though the enemy is crafty and fully armed, we are able to overcome him. To overcome him, we must be prepared and equipped with the whole armor of God which will enable us to stand against any attack no matter how crafty or powerful. Here are seven steps to help you overcome:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Claim your identity in Chris<\/strong>t\u00a0\u2013 Genesis 1:27 \u2013<\/strong>\u00a0It all starts with identity. If the enemy can cause you to forget who you are and define your identity based on what you do, what you\u2019ve accomplished, what you earn, where you were born, where you live, how you feel, and who others say you are, then you are defeated. You were created in the image and likeness of God and in spite of sin, God has chosen to save you and help you conform to His image and likeness. Your worth is solely based on your relationship with Him and nothing else.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Be prepared for the trials and tests in the marketplace \u2013 John 16:33, Psalm 107:23-31<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Though you are royalty created in the image and likeness of the King, you will still face challenges. But do not let them define you nor discourage you. You are a target simply because you are a joint heir of a very prominent monarchy and your destruction is a major win for the enemy<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Know the three tactics of the enemy: lust of the flesh, lust of the eye, and the pride of life \u2013 Genesis 3:1-6, Matthew 4:1-11, 1 John 2:16<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 The enemy will use the same tactics each time. He does not have any new tricks in his bag. He will try to entice you through your five senses, or he will try to feed your ego. It works every time. He knows where you are weak and he will target those areas. Resist him and guess what, he will flee<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Be committed to prayer since our fight is not against people but principalities, powers, rulers in the dark world, and spiritual wickedness in high places \u2013 Ephesians 6:12<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Prayer is your best offensive weapon. It puts you in direct communication with the King which gives you access to all the resources of the Kingdom. Use it continuously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5.\u00a0<\/strong>Put on the whole armor of God \u2013 Ephesians 6:10-18<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 There are other weapons at your disposal which are able to make you full proof against anything the enemy throws at you. Do not assume you can handle yourself with just prayer. Put on every offensive and defensive weapon at your disposal. It is the only way to truly overcome. These weapons include the breastplate of righteousness, the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit, which is the Word of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. Be wise as serpents and gentle as doves \u2013 Matthew 10:16<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Even with these weapons, your adversary is very crafty and he will try to find other ways to get to you. So be as wise as a serpent and as gentle as a dove.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. Be committed to unity and oneness with other believers \u2013 John 17:21<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Know that no matter how armed you are, you can not win this battle alone. You need to lock arms with others who share your convictions and values. Lock arms with them to overcome this enemy, leaving no prisoner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These are simple but not easy steps. Victory will require you to have the faith to believe God even when you are not seeing results, the faith to believe you are winning even when you feel defeated, and the faith to remain patient until change happens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My prayer for you is that God will give you the grace to walk in these seven steps to enable you to overcome spiritual warfare in your life and business.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can we forgive ourselves and each other for what has happened? Are we willing to let go of the past and give each other the benefit of the doubt?<\\\/p>\\n

<\\\/p>\\n

<\\\/p>\\n

Forgiveness is the gift that we all love to receive but many of us struggle to give. Unfortunately, without it we can not become truly great nor can we realize our destiny. Forgiveness is what holds great people from becoming truly free. Joseph rose to greatness after his betrayal and struggle but there was one more thing he had to realize: his destiny.<\\\/p>\\n

<\\\/p>\\n

<\\\/p>\\n

He had to forgive those who threw him in the pit and sold him into slavery, which then eventually led him to go to prison. Often as we rise to greatness our past revisits us and we are forced to reconcile with it. Some run from it and never become what God destined them to be. Others confront and embrace it and are able to experience the freedom that God has preordained for them to receive. You will never achieve true freedom unless you are able to forgive those who caused you harm. True freedom is letting go of the past, true freedom is saying I forgive you, true freedom is recognizing that what the devil meant for evil God used it for good.<\\\/p>\\n

<\\\/p>\\n

<\\\/p>\\n

\\u201cFor I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.\\u201d -\\u00a0Jeremiah 29:11<\\\/strong><\\\/p>\\n

<\\\/p>\\n

<\\\/p>\\n

Greatness is a result of persevering through life\\u2019s difficulties, intense trials, and challenges. Just as precious jewels are produced through years of intense fire and pressure and eventually command great value and admiration by men, we too have the same outcome when we allow the betrayal and trials of life to shape us into who God wants us to become.<\\\/p>\\n

<\\\/p>\\n

<\\\/p>\\n

\\u201cAnd Joseph said to his brothers, \\u201cPlease come near to me.\\u201d So they came near. Then he said: \\u201cI am Joseph your brother, whom you sold into Egypt. But now, do not therefore be grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here; for God sent me before you to preserve life.\\u201d - Genesis 45:4-5<\\\/strong><\\\/p>\\n

<\\\/p>\\n

Forgiveness is recognizing the sovereignty of God in every situation. When you forgive, you release the pain you have had a tight grip on and free your emotions from being focused on the wrongs that were done to you. You can now embrace the people that the enemy used to bring you harm with the unconditional love of Christ. It is said that unforgiveness is like taking a poison pill and hoping it kills the other person, it only brings you harm.<\\\/p>\\n

<\\\/p>\\n

<\\\/p>\\n

How do you forgive? Here are five simple steps that will guide you to forgive and get you closer to enjoying your freedom in Christ:<\\\/strong><\\\/strong><\\\/strong><\\\/p>\\n

<\\\/p>\\n

<\\\/p>\\n<figure class="wp-block-1. Accept God\\u2019s forgiveness of you <\\\/strong>- It is hard to forgive others if you do not forgive yourself by accepting that God has forgiven you.
2. Draw close to those who hurt you<\\\/strong> - You cannot forgive without a willingness to be intimate with those who hurt you.
3. Confront the situation <\\\/strong>- true forgiveness starts with truth, accept the reality of what happened.
4. Release the person or persons<\\\/strong> - Write a note or verbally communicate to the person that you have forgiven them. You do not have to say it to them physically but you must address it to them even if you do not send them the message.
5. Recognize God\\u2019s sovereignty <\\\/strong>- Look for the good in the situation, no matter how bad it is you must be able to see how God has worked it or will work it for your good.<\\\/td>\\n<\\\/tr>\\n<\\\/tbody>\\n<\\\/table>\\n<\\\/figure>\\n
