What does the principle of multiplication have to do with business<\/a>?
As entrepreneurs<\/a>, how can we multiply our businesses?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And God blessed them, saying, \u201cBe fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.\u201d <\/em>\u2013 Genesis 1:22 (NKJV)<\/a><\/strong>

\u201cBe fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea,
over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.\u201d <\/em>\u2013 Genesis 1:28 (NKJV)<\/strong>

\u201cThe kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field, which indeed is the least of all the seeds; but when it is grown it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches.\u201d <\/em>\u2013 Matthew 13:31(NKJV)<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Multiply<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Our God loves to multiply things. In fact, it is a mark of His blessing on us when He does so. When God creates things, His intent is that they will grow and expand. We see this reflected in the creation story, where God gives the command \u201cbe fruitful and multiply\u201d<\/em> to His highest creation \u2013 His sons and daughters.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

God promised to multiply Abraham\u2019s descendants as the \u201cstars of heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore\u201d. <\/em>(Genesis 22:17-18)<\/strong> God\u2019s heart is for Kingdom growth and multiplication, and as believers in Jesus, we have access to that blessing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is also a God who uses small beginnings. Jesus talks about the mustard seed, the smallest of all seeds, and compares that to the Kingdom of God (Luke 13:18-19)<\/strong>. God\u2019s workmanship (Ephesians 2:10)<\/strong> may seem to start out as insignificant, but it grows into people, organizations, communities, and networks that are full of life and exist as expressions of God\u2019s glory. They are also blessings to the people around them, \u201cso that the birds of the air come and nest in its[their] branches.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where is your business today? Even if you are a \u201csmall seed\u201d like the mustard seed, have you been sown by the Creator into good soil? Are you focused on absorbing the nutrients you need, establishing solid roots, and pushing upwards through the soil to reach the light? Have you broken through the soil and are you now steadily growing upward? Are you branching outward, reaching more customers and clients at an increasing pace?\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wherever you are in your business journey, fix your eyes on the One who has a heart to multiply and bless, and ask Him to help you grow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When a business multiplies, there is an increase in profitability as the business scales. It is a multiplication process, not very different from the discipleship model that we see in 2 Timothy 2:2.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When we multiply, we efficiently expand what we are doing so that we can produce more goods and\/or services to serve more customers with increasing levels of excellence. Becoming consistently fruitful (profitable) is the first step, and multiplication is the next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If your business has proven itself profitable, it may be time to move into the multiplication stage.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
